As an effective XR Designer, I need to learn to code confidently and also master C# so that I can understand C# language interactive functionality in Unity. I will deconstruct the interactions I use in my Unity projects and continue to watch C# Lynda and Pluralsite videos for 4 hours each week during September to December 2018.

Produce an interactive object for Fizhog, in Unity using C# Code.

Maya SMART Goal

As an effective XR Designer, I need to have good 3D Modelling skills in Maya and 3Ds Max. I need to improve my Maya skills so that I construct artefacts for my AR/VR and VR Narrative projects on my iOS devices.  I will work through more advanced instructional Maya videos which also focus on character rigging, on Lynda and Pluralsite, for 3 hours each week from September to December 2018.

Produce a Set, Prop and rigged character for Fizhog, in Maya/3Ds Mac (if PC Running)

As an effective XR Designer, I need to learn the Unity game engine so that I can produce interactive 2D and 3D, AR and VR creative apps and to plan my final VR to Narrative project. I will allow 3 hours per week for this activity during September to December 2018. 

Produce a simple Unity prototype for Fizhog.

As an effective XR Designer with VR Narrative experience, I need to be able to write narrative effectively. I will learn how to choose the most effective story and safely engage with the audience in order to produce an effective, immersive experience. I need to research animation festival criteria and time table an approach. I will install the spotlight Story development pack on a PC and engage with the VR community. I will also watch Lynda and Pluralsite videos on VR and VR Narrative for 3 hours each week during September to December 2018.

Research VR Narrative and produce a check list for production.

As an effective XR Designer and Artist working in experimental practice, I need to connect to the research community. I will conduct academic and grey literature research while experimenting in practice. I will allocate one day per week to practice-based research during September to December 2018.
